What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a natural and advanced treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) to make your body increase cell turnover and collagen production, which reverses the signs of aging and sun damage.

How it Works

Morpheus8 is a fractional device with programmable penetration depth and energy delivery. The device comes with disposable, single use, needle tips that penetrate into the sub-dermal tissue, coagulating the fat and contracting connective tissue. Simultaneously, radiofrequency energy generates bulk sub-necrotic heat in the dermis. This results in collagen production and tissue remodeling with almost no patient downtime. Radio Frequency provides heat that stimulates collagen production which has been found to lead to tighter, younger looking skin. Combined with state-of-the art microneedling patients experience optimal results. The Morpheus8 tips can do down to 4mm into the dermis, and the resurfacing tip stays fixed at 0.5mm

Everyone’s pain threshold is different. Most patients find the treatment tolerable with minimal discomfort. A strong numbing agent is applied for 1 hour prior to treatment. Tylenol can be taken 1 hour prior to treatment as well.

Before your Morpheus8 treatment, it is important to avoid anything that may irritate the skin or interfere with its ability to heal. This includes: Avoid taking drugs that can affect blood clotting, such as aspirin and ibuprofen for 2 weeks. You can take Tylenol if you want. Avoid excessive sun exposure and apply sunscreen diligently before and after Morpheus8. Do not arrive to your appointment with a sunburn. Refrain from using skin care products and pharmaceuticals such as retinoids and exfoliating acids. Avoid professional peels or microdermabrasion for 2 weeks before and after your appointment. For patients who are prone to cold sores, please let your provider know so that an anti-HSV viral prophylaxis can be prescribed before treatment. A full list of pre and post care instructions will be provided when you book. You will also be asked to complete a consent form to confirm that you are a safe candidate for Morpheus8.

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive treatment. Since it uses microneedles that puncture the skin, it is normal for your skin to be irritated after treatment. As long as you protect your skin and follow all aftercare instructions, it should typically heal quickly and easily within a few days, but can take up to a few weeks depending on the person. Side effects such as redness, bruising, swelling, scabbing, grid like skin texture are common during the first few days. Due to the punctures in the skin, makeup should be avoided for a minimum of 24 hours, ideally 72 hours. Excessive heat such as strenuous exercise, hot tubs, saunas, should also be avoided for 48-72 hours. Medical grade skin care is required in conjunction with this treatment. Using this system will not only significantly reduce healing time, but it will also enhance results.
Patients will need 1 hour of numbing before being treated. Treatment duration can vary depending on how many areas are being covered and differing tip applications. Approximately 1 hour treatment time.
Treatments are usually done 6-8 weeks apart. At minimum, a series of 3 is recommended. More treatments may be required for desired results. After your series, yearly maintenance is advised.
Everyone’s capacity to stimulate collagen is different and one’s lifestyle choice will affect the ultimate duration. Results are permanent, but we as humans are continuously aging. We recommend yearly maintenance for long lasting results. Results will last as long as you take care of your investment! Morpheus8 can reduce fat ONLY when intended to. This means special techniques and settings are needed for this to happen. This is typically only done in areas on the body and or under chin area for jawline sculpting.
